Atalanta's opponent for the 2026/27 Conference League play-offs has been confirmed. The Italian club will face Hapoel Tel-Aviv, with the first leg scheduled for August 20th.
After winning the Europa League in 2024 and participating in the Champions League last season, Atalanta had a challenging campaign that resulted in qualification for the Conference League this time around.
Atalanta Set to Play Hapoel Tel-Aviv
Atalanta will compete in the preliminary round and was awaiting the identification of their opponent. This was finalized when Hapoel Tel-Aviv secured a 3-2 aggregate victory over GKS Katowice in their play-off tie. Hapoel won the first leg 2-0 and then lost the second leg in Poland 2-1.
The first leg of Atalanta's match will take place in Bergamo on Thursday, August 20th, with kick-off at 19:30 UK time (20:30 CEST). The return fixture will be held on neutral ground at the DVTK Stadium in Miskolc, Hungary, on August 27th, starting at 19:00 UK time (20:00 CEST).
The winner of this tie will advance to the group stage of the Conference League for the 2026/27 campaign.
