Fiorentina achieved a remarkable comeback, fighting back from a two-goal deficit to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw against Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid. Roberto Piccoli and Moise Kean were the heroes for the Viola, netting goals in response to earlier strikes from Endrick. Denzel Dumfries also featured in the starting lineup for Real Madrid.

The transformation of Fiorentina this Serie A season has been significant, contrasting sharply with their near-relegation struggle in the previous term.

Under new coach Fabio Grosso, the team adopted a 4-3-1-2 formation and featured four new signings in their starting XI for this encounter against Real Madrid. The match took place on neutral ground at the Worthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt.

Real Madrid opened the scoring just 12 minutes into the game. Carreras made a dynamic run down the left flank, delivered a pass across the goal, and Endrick, after controlling the ball and evading Luca Ranieri, beat goalkeeper David De Gea.

Denzel Dumfries, a former Inter Milan player, made his full debut for the Spanish giants. However, it was Eduardo Camavinga who provided the assist for Alexis Ciria's goal, extending Real Madrid's lead to 2-0.

Fiorentina found their way back into the game when Roberto Piccoli capitalized on a pass from Alex Jimenez. After De Gea parried an Arda Guler free-kick, Piccoli ran onto the pass and fired an angled shot into the net, bringing Fiorentina back into contention.

The Viola showed increased focus and intensity in the second half, creating a series of scoring opportunities through Albert Gudmundsson and Rolando Mandragora.

Substitute Moise Kean made an immediate impact, scoring within two minutes of coming on. He headed home a well-placed cross from NiccolΓ² Fagioli from the left wing.

Victor Valdepenas, who completed his transfer just hours before, came on to play against his former club for Fiorentina. The Tuscans are also reportedly targeting Franco Mastantuono.

Kean had a late chance to snatch a winner for Fiorentina, but his shot was well saved by Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
