According to reports from Italy, Galatasaray is reportedly increasing pressure on Rafael Leão and AC Milan, with former Napoli striker Victor Osimhen playing a role in the efforts.

The Portuguese international has expressed his desire to leave Milan this summer on multiple occasions, feeling his tenure at the San Siro has reached its conclusion. AC Milan, while open to a sale, is seeking a permanent transfer for €50 million plus an additional €10 million in add-ons, rejecting any loan proposals. Leão's current contract extends until June 2028.

Leão Shows Preference for Galatasaray

While Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş have also made approaches, Galatasaray has emerged as the most committed suitor from the Turkish Super Lig. Reports indicate that Galatasaray is significantly increasing their pressure on Leão by offering a substantial salary package and the prospect of playing in the Champions League alongside Victor Osimhen.

Transfer experts Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto have confirmed that Galatasaray is actively working to initiate discussions with the player. Leão reportedly favors Galatasaray over other Turkish clubs, primarily due to their participation in the Champions League. Furthermore, Osimhen's friendship with Leão could provide valuable advice regarding a new experience abroad.

However, the primary obstacle remains AC Milan's refusal to entertain a loan deal, insisting on a total transfer fee of €60 million. Compounding the situation, Leão is currently with Milan in Perth for pre-season training and appears to be reconsidering his departure, especially with Ruben Amorim now at the helm.
