Napoli outcast Lang first choice for Ajax if Godts joins PSG
Napoli is anticipating a move for Ajax's Mika Godts to Paris Saint-Germain, with Dutch reports suggesting that Noa Lang, currently out of favor at Napoli, is the Dutch club's primary target to fill the potential vacancy.
Multiple sources confirm that PSG is in advanced negotiations for Godts, and despite a difference in valuation from PSG's reported β¬60 million asking price, a deal is expected to be finalized soon.
According to Voetbal International, Ajax is actively seeking a replacement and has identified Lang as their top priority.
Napoli eager to part ways with Lang
This potential transfer would be a welcome development for Napoli, as the Italian club does not foresee the Dutch international featuring in their future plans.
Lang, a β¬25 million acquisition from PSV Eindhoven last summer, failed to make a significant impact and reportedly experienced difficulties with coach Antonio Conte.
He was subsequently loaned to Galatasaray for β¬2 million in January, and Napoli is now actively searching for a new club for him, with Max Allegri showing little interest in reintegrating him into the squad.
A move to Ajax could be a beneficial step for Lang, who previously spent time in their youth academy before his β¬6 million transfer to Club Brugge in 2021.
At this stage, Napoli would be satisfied with simply recouping their initial investment on Lang's sale.
