Napoli Triumphs Over Osasuna 2-1 in Pre-Season Friendly

Matteo Politano and Lorenzo Lucca found the net, securing a 2-1 victory for Max Allegri's Napoli against La Liga's Osasuna in a friendly encounter.

The match took place on neutral ground at Napoli's Castel di Sangro training camp. Osasuna, who finished 17th in the Spanish top flight last season, were the visitors.

Allegri opted for a 4-3-3 formation, fielding Michael Folorunsho, who is reportedly on the transfer market. Romelu Lukaku was absent, reportedly granted an extended two-day leave in agreement with the club.

After early missed opportunities by Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, Matteo Politano broke the deadlock. He received a cross from Leonardo Spinazzola and volleyed it into the net from the back post.

Spinazzola was active, setting up a blocked shot for Giovane. Politano also struck the woodwork with a free-kick. Amir Rrahmani made a crucial defensive header to deny Raul Garcia just before halftime.

Lorenzo Lucca entered the game at halftime and, after receiving a yellow card for an elbow, scored Napoli's second goal. Noa Lang intercepted a clearance, leading to Anguissa setting up Lucca for the finish.

Osasuna pressed for an equalizer. Kike Barja hit the post, and Ante Budimir converted a penalty after being fouled by Nosa Obaretin.

Pasquale Mazzocchi had a chance to extend Napoli's lead to 3-1 after being played through by Antonio Vergara, but hesitated, allowing Jorge Herrando to make a block.

Alisson Santos made an impact in the closing stages, with two of his shots being blocked.
