Chalon Completes Roster with European Competition Veteran
Elan Chalon has finalized its squad by signing forward Aher Uguak, a player well-acquainted with European competitions. This marks the club's latest addition after a month-long wait since the signing of Miller Kopp.
Following a five-season tenure in NCAA, the Canadian-South Sudanese player began his professional career in Europe with Chemnitz in Germany. During his time there, he participated in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) and clinched the FIBA Europe Cup in 2024. He will now bring this European experience to SaΓ΄ne-et-Loire.
Uguak, who quickly became a key player for Chemnitz, saw his momentum halted in January 2025 due to a patellar tendon fracture that sidelined him for 11 months. He now aims to relaunch his career in France.
"Aher is the final player to join our team," said coach Elric Delord. "He's a small forward with a significant all-around game. He's the type of player who fills up the entire stat sheet. I appreciate his physicality on both offense and defense, as well as his versatility, which makes him a complete player. He can play both the 2 and the 4 positions, and his physical attributes (over 2 meters tall, 2.10-meter wingspan) give him a distinct advantage. Finally, he will bring his basketball intelligence, his European experience, and his human qualities to our team for the upcoming season."
Chalon Signs Promising American Player
After a strong first professional season, Damian Dunn (1.92 m, 25 years old) joins Γlan Chalon for the upcoming season.
