Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed his exit from the Portuguese national team's training camp following a public confrontation with coach Jorge Jesus. The star player departed the stadium in Copenhagen in a van, an action that fuels speculation about the end of his international career.

Following a stern public statement from coach Jorge Jesus regarding player selection, Cristiano Ronaldo, who had visibly expressed his frustration after not playing against Norway in the Nations League, left the Danish stadium. This move follows Jesus's public admonishment.

β€œAfter the national team coach’s press conference, and following a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I have decided to leave the training camp,” Cristiano Ronaldo stated on Wednesday evening via Instagram. β€œIn due course, I will say to all Portuguese the reasons that led me to leave the national team, to which I have always dedicated myself. It is time to wish good luck to Portugal and all my teammates, without exception.” The Portuguese football icon risks damaging his reputation in his home country with this abrupt departure.

Immediately after deciding to leave Denmark, his private jet was scheduled for a flight from Madrid to Copenhagen. The aircraft, a Bombardier Global Express XRS, was expected to land in the Danish capital at 10:15 PM for an almost immediate return flight to Madrid. Madrid is Ronaldo's primary residence when not in Saudi Arabia, where he plays for Al Nassr. This incident has sent shockwaves through Portugal, and Ronaldo may return to his club sooner than anticipated.
